At the ripe hour of 6:30 AM, Amipa and I draggggeeedddd our corpses out of bed and embraced the dark as we set off for our first sunrise hike. I am thoroughly out of shape because the rest of the group left me behind, but eventually we made it to the top before the sun came up.
It was a TASK, but at the first crack of light I couldn’t help but being thankful that I was able to see another day and attempt this feat. By the time we made it back down it was after 9 and the sleep that beckoned to us completely overtook us. It was GLORIOUS. I wouldn’t mind doing this at least once a month.
